User Experience & Interaction Design, Formerly Interactive Digital Media, Evolves to Meet the Needs of the Industry
Evolving to align with the needs of one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, Drexel Westphal is excited to introduce the undergraduate degree in User Experience (UX) & Interaction Design (IxD). Formerly titled Interactive Digital Media, the User Experience & Interaction Design (UXID) program will continue to offer a cutting-edge curriculum that emphasizes creativity, versatility, and an interdisciplinary skillset. With this program name change, we hope to reflect current industry nomenclature and reach students who are hungry for an immersive and interdisciplinary education.
Boldly Takes Gold in 2020 MUSE Creative Awards
With submissions numbering up to 4618 entries, submitted from more than 57 countries, Boldly has taken Gold in the 2020 MUSE Creative Awards competition. The winning work was created by Interactive Digital Media students Mel Gross, Caroline Scheinfeld, Claudia Bonitatibus and Ryan Van Dongen and advised by Prof. Troy Finamore for the completion of their Senior Project
Interactive Digital Media Recognized as STEM Degree
The Westphal College of Media Arts & Design is proud to announce the Bachelor of Science in Interactive Digital Media (IDM) is now recognized as a U.S. Department of Education STEM Designated Degree Program. The Department of Homeland Security bases its STEM Designated Degree Program List on the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics definition of a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field.
