El Toro Serrano Food Truck App
This project focuses on designing and developing a high-fidelity prototype food ordering app for a food truck of our choice. In a 10week time frame, we researched, designed, user-tested, and developed a high fidelity prototype application for a food truck called El Toro Serrano. The final product is a prototype, which has 4-5 tasks that can be completed by walking through the app.
Flourish: User Research
Flourish is a plant app that aims to help make plant care easier and tonight we’ll be walking through all our research sessions that we’ve conducted over the past 10 weeks, discussing their major takeaways and the data-driven design recommendations based off of those findings.
User Experience & Interaction Design, Formerly Interactive Digital Media, Evolves to Meet the Needs of the Industry
Evolving to align with the needs of one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, Drexel Westphal is excited to introduce the undergraduate degree in User Experience (UX) & Interaction Design (IxD). Formerly titled Interactive Digital Media, the User Experience & Interaction Design (UXID) program will continue to offer a cutting-edge curriculum that emphasizes creativity, versatility, and an interdisciplinary skillset. With this program name change, we hope to reflect current industry nomenclature and reach students who are hungry for an immersive and interdisciplinary education.
Shuffle
Shuffle is a friendship finding application based around connecting those with similar music tastes. The app allows users to use their Spotify listening data to create their profiles, giving an accurate depiction of one’s genre, artist, and album tastes. The end goal for users is to connect with others in the app through messaging and make lasting friendships.
afiye
afiye is a digital home for families to stay connected by sharing media of cherished events, better preserving and viewing their connections in the form of user uploaded images, image albums and documents. The purpose of this project was to research, design, and develop an app by integrating multiple technologies using the experience and skills our team have gained during our time at Drexel University into a coherent product which effectively communicates a message or to solve a need. That need was to address family communication during the pandemic and our mission was to improve it with our app.
Homiies
Homiies is a roommate management app that empowers roommates to keep track of individual and shared responsibilities and facilitate communication. The app was built with the React framework and Firebase.

The Department of Homeland Security bases its STEM Designated Degree Program List on the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics definition of a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field.
